Learning to fly at 50! - Jayne Stubbs (12th January 2026)

Our January meeting (12/1/26) wasn’t as scheduled, as our speaker Clare Snelling had to cancel due to illness. Thankfully Viv Braddock our Speaker Secretary organised Jayne Stubbs, who shared her experience on ‘Learning to fly at 50!’ & still actively flying - What a fascinating talk she gave.

We also collecting ‘Can for Jan(uary)’ total donations were - 56 cans, 1 bag of rice & 3 guest soaps, which will be taken to silklife Foodbank this week.

Wonderful raffle organised by Clare, who couldn’t make our meeting due to her own illness & refreshments were served by Margery & Elaine as Ann hurt her foot as she was arriving at our meeting & had to be taken home. During the meeting Steph Clough took a tumble & hurt her knees & arm, Sheila then administered first aid, so we all send hugs & best wishes to Steph & Ann hoping they are both ok
