History of Cheshire Cheese - Nick Birchall (9th March 2026)
Nick Birchall was our March speaker (9/3/26), from Nantwich Cheese Shop telling us all about the History of Cheshire Cheese. The shop opened in 2020 during covid, they have since gone from strength to strength, with lots of cheeses made from the local area. A very special February meeting last night (9/2/26), as we celebrated our 10th Birthday as well as welcoming Viv Bettley-Eagles & her Bollywood Dance for Fun group. We had invited the Founding Members of Tytherington Treacles along with our WI Advisor Vivien Lee.. Valerie Jones had baked a special Birthday cake and we all had a glass of Nosecco to celebrate. Baby Blankets - Wythenshaw Neonatal unit (7th February 2026)

Christmas Party (8th December 2025)
Our Christmas party was enjoyed by all - a lovely Christmassy Quiz, thanks to Julie Skelton our Quiz Master. Teams of 4 with Christmas themed names, thanks Pam. Marlborough School Christmas Fair - Friday 5/12/25 We held a cake & Christmas goods stall - thank you to all our members who donated & to Chris, Elaine & Pam, who manned the stall. Bond St. Veterinary practice with Sarah Parker and Annual Meeting (10th November 2025)
Our November’s meeting (10/11/25) was our Annual Meeting & we also welcomed Sarah Parker from Bond St. Veterinary practice who gave us some very good advice regarding ‘Pet First Aid’. All our Committee have volunteered to stay on another year Our refreshment ladies were Carole Clipson & Chris Stewart, thank you so much for your help at our meeting. Cheshire Peaks WI meeting - History wardrobe Mary Quant (15th October 2025)
The Autumn meeting of the Cheshire Peaks Group (15/10/25) was attended by over 20 of our members, who enjoyed an informative & insight into the history of style icon Mary Quant. Lucy from The History Wardrobe was very entertaining, demonstrating the clothing styles & accessories made famous by Mary Quant starting from the 1950s upto the present day. ‘Let’s get creative’ with Emma Crawley (13th October 2025)
‘Let’s get creative’ was the theme for our October meeting on Monday (13/10/25) with our guest speaker Emma Crawley (Rooby Doo). Our members enjoyed a very relaxing evening tracing & colouring in to create a stained glass window effect of their chosen animal. ‘Midnight walk’ (22nd September 2025)
A glorious evening to do our ‘midnight walk’ starting at Marlborough School, walking along the Macclesfield canal & Middlewood way, raising funds for the ECH Bed Appeal. A few of us even visited the Brocklehurst Pub to round off the evening. A Really great social event enjoyed by all. James Ellson's talk on ‘The Trees & The Bees’ (8th September 2025)
Our September meeting (8/9/25) was a great welcome back after our August break for our members, we enjoyed James Ellson's very interesting talk on ‘The Trees & The Bees’ who is now a beekeeper & owns an apple orchard over in Hayfield, Derbyshire, producing up to 90 varieties of apple.
