We welcomed April Ackerley, who is a Paramedic, to our July meeting (13/7/26), enabling us to learn how ‘Bystanders can be Lifesavers’. A lovely informative evening, where we were shown how to do CPR, how to use a defibrillator & put someone in the recovery position. Junior Hospital Doctor - Peter Sykes (8th June 2026)
A change to our scheduled speaker at this months meeting (Monday 8/6/26) as Peter Sykes was able to come along at short notice & tell us all about his time of being a Junior Hospital Doctor back in the 60’s. Cystinosis Foundation charity - Margaret & Will Newman (11th May 2026)
Lovely to meet Margaret & Will Newman last night at our May meeting (11/5/26). They are passionately trying to raise funds for a rare disease, called Cystinosis which unfortunately their 10 year old Granddaughter, Ellie suffers from. Ellie is a twin but her sister Mollie doesn’t have it. Everything crossed that a cure is found very soon. Lower Moss Wood Animal Rescue - Ian Daniels (13th April 2026)
A very interesting & informative evening for our April meeting (13/4/26). Ian Daniels from Lower Moss Wood Nature Reserve & Wildlife Hospital came along to inform us all about his background & how he became so involved with Lower Moss Wood. History of Cheshire Cheese - Nick Birchall (9th March 2026)
Nick Birchall was our March speaker (9/3/26), from Nantwich Cheese Shop telling us all about the History of Cheshire Cheese. The shop opened in 2020 during covid, they have since gone from strength to strength, with lots of cheeses made from the local area. A very special February meeting last night (9/2/26), as we celebrated our 10th Birthday as well as welcoming Viv Bettley-Eagles & her Bollywood Dance for Fun group. Learning to fly at 50! - Jayne Stubbs (12th January 2026)
Our January meeting (12/1/26) wasn’t as scheduled, as our speaker Clare Snelling had to cancel due to illness. Christmas Party (8th December 2025)
Our Christmas party was enjoyed by all - a lovely Christmassy Quiz, thanks to Julie Skelton our Quiz Master. Teams of 4 with Christmas themed names, thanks Pam. Bond St. Veterinary practice with Sarah Parker and Annual Meeting (10th November 2025)
Our November’s meeting (10/11/25) was our Annual Meeting & we also welcomed Sarah Parker from Bond St. Veterinary practice who gave us some very good advice regarding ‘Pet First Aid’. ‘Let’s get creative’ with Emma Crawley (13th October 2025)
‘Let’s get creative’ was the theme for our October meeting on Monday (13/10/25) with our guest speaker Emma Crawley (Rooby Doo).
